In-game Story Progression

Hi,
I was thinking earlier about Crevis's gameplay, and I actually had a few ideas which I believed worthy of noting:
- Peaceful Mode
- Normal Mode
- Learning crafting recipes
To elaborate on each of these, I want to note first that these are not difficulties! Difficulties and modes are separate. To start with 'Normal Mode,' it will be the default setting when creating a world. Every time you create a new world, a storyline will be generated and can be altered by you. I think a better term for the given setting would be a storyline that generates along the way. For example, the game could decide to band a group of NPC's into a group of barbarians that build a castle, and you yourself could conquer those barbarians, and other people would recognize you as their enemy. Or, as another example, you could become a slave for a castle that NPC's have built, and then maybe secretly kill the king and take control of the kingdom. As you progress with technology, so will the people around you: some people maybe be ahead of you technology-wise, so, maybe, if you killed those people, you could learn the things that they have learned, which brings me to the 3rd bullet point.
Similar to Starbound's mechanic, some recipes can be learned by picking them up, and some by putting it under some sort of research station. For example, if you take those treasures from those people who are "smarter" than you, you won't know how it works, or how it's built. Putting it under the research station will allow you to understand the machine, maybe even expanding your own knowledge a bit by seeing the new materials used to create it.
Jumping back to the 1st bullet point, to get down to basics, 'Peaceful Mode' is a game that is regular, bland, and without this story progression or learning recipes: all of the recipes are unlocked automatically and with no NPC's.
Concluding this blog post, I'll update you as soon as I can!

Re: In-game Story Progression
To sum up,
Peaceful: Just try to survive and no real "end game" ahead of you, just survive and fight off enemies and pillage the planet!
Normal: Try to survive with the other races trying to expand/build something that you are part of, and you can either decide weither to be good or evil. Having there history, backstory and of course NPC's going through there daily lives. While you're there learning how to survive and expand too
Am I right?

Correct. However, the story generally follows the lore.
